Your names animation alone is enough to make me tear up, unlike the other shinkai films I’ve watched, this is paired with a beautiful heartwarming story and a perfect ending, making your name one of my favourite films. It doesn’t hit quite as hard on a rewatch thanks to us knowing the big twist, but even still I love the characters, story and animation so much that it’s still amazing to watch. First time I watched it I was ugly crying for like half the film and this time it still got a few tears out of me, I’d definitely recommend it to everyone, lots of people get put off because it’s an anime, that doesn’t bother me coz I spend most of my time watching anime but you don’t have to like anime to enjoy this film, it’s one of the greatest films I’ve ever watched and one of my two favourite animated films ( the other one is also an anime called a silent voice). If you have time to spare to watch a film make it this one and you won’t regret it.
