Before I Fall 2017

Movie begins with one the most boring, cliche voice overs I’ve ever heard. “But for some of us there’s only today, and for some of us, what you do today matters, in the moment, and maybe into infinity”  🤮🤮🤮 Why you trying to ruin the film for me before it’s even begun. The music makes it so much worse, and how she’s speaking all soft and dramatic. I could tell straight away this wasn’t going to go well.  So far I’ve watched a classic 90s time loop film, the action one, the Andy Samberg comedy, the what I went into thinking was a horror but now I’m not convinced time loop movie, and now we have finally arrived at the shitty awsomeness films Netflix based on a book time loop movie. We were on a roll before this I’d really liked every time loop movie I’d watched so far, especially the new Palm Springs (2020) staring Andy Samberg. Obviously Groundhog Day is great also. Now before I fall..... ok sure yeah. Logan miller plays the guy who the girl originally thinks is too nerdy or something but eventually falls for after all her character development, you can tell that like as soon as he shows up I’m not kidding it’s so obvious. I’m writing this as he sends her a rose 9 minutes into the film, yet I’m willing to bet that’s what’s going to happen to his character, that or he dies or something. I can also probably guess what’s gonna happen to zoey Deutchs character, she is a bully with the popular boyfriend who is an asshole who will probably cheat on her or something coz she doesn’t wanna have sex with him, or just dump her when she says no, but deep down she’s a “nice girl” and it’s just because she’s fitting in with her friends, then she realises that blonde girl is a bitch and becomes a nice person when she realises how she was treating people. She’s gonna be nice to the weird girl and all that an there’s character Redemption. Just some advice for anyone planning on making yet another time loop movie, make a good one, you can’t just make a time loop movie when Groundhog Day exists, this was a trash film. Someone should make like a detective time loop film, or sci fi Star Wars type film, or maybe some historical time loop film, like hitler gets caught in a time loop and has to change his ways to get out, ending ww2 lol. Don’t just make some fucking teenage drama film where they go to a party. And I realise those are all also pretty shitty ideas off the top of my head but I’d take one of them any day over watching this again.  So yeah I was pretty much right about all that shit, proving this film is predictable, though I kinda have to admit I liked the ending, I always love it’s when ....spoilers........ the main character dies at the end, the fact she did everything she wanted to do and then never actually got out of the time loop just died but saved the girls life, that stuff was good, and I take back like some of the stuff I said earlier, but the voiceover sucks “no, you saved me” and the rest of the film was shitty and predictable.  4.0/ 10
