Woah. That was a weird one. Super intense and super sad, I mean it’s 9/11, one of the saddest and scariest tragedies of the last 25 years. This film kinda gave you an idea of what it would be like to be one of the people on the ground or in the air having to deal with what’s going on. It kinda makes you think about what you would do in that situation, if your plane was hijacked would you sit there and wait to die or would you attack the hijacker for a chance at survival. It’s a very sad film and had me tearing up, which isn’t hard to do since the real event itself is also enough to make anyone tear up. We never really got to know any of the characters, there was no protagonist, it felt just like we were a witness to what was going on, and it felt very much like real life in that way, makes the situation scarier as it’s just a realistic intense journey based on a real event. I think it would have been a lot more emotional if they had a main character, maybe if they focused more on the guy who was leading the rush on the hijackers. But there’s a lot of characters and we never really connect with any of them, we just watch them experience it.  If this wasn’t based on a true story it probably would have been a really boring film, but it felt informative and extra sad since it’s actually real. It felt very fast paced which I don’t really like with an abrupt and un natural ending. Also as it started to focus more on the characters on the sky it kind of forgot about the characters they introduced on the ground. I usually like a sudden ending like that, but I think I would have preferred it if we were with the people on the plane the whole time as then their story would have been over and the ending would have hit harder. But they showed us too many characters on the ground so you only end up caring because of how real it feels and how fast and intense it is. I feel like this film could have been way better, but it was interesting and informative and it was an enjoyable (feels wrong using that word it was horrible at the same time) watch. 6.4/10
