I knew nothing about this film going in, I saw it at the cinema, I didn’t even know it was french, all I knew was it was weird, and holy fuck was it weird. I’ve been trying to actually think have I seen a film as weird as this before but I genuinely think this may be the weirdest thing I’ve ever watched. I’m not gonna talk about the plot at all as if you decide to see this you should go in completely blind like I did, but it was a fun experience to see a film this strange at the cinema.
The first part of this film I quite liked, there was a little too much unnecessary nudity and the main character was a little too ….. I don’t know …. French…. No that’s rude, she wasn’t too likeable and I found her a little hard to relate to. But the concept of the film, though weird, was interesting. But as the film went on it just got weirder and weirder up until the point were I was either laughing at the absurdity of it all or sitting there feeling really uncomfortable. Then the film heads in an even weirder direction that I didn’t like that much, but I think the characters…. Again though weird….. we’re rather interesting. Still not likeable at all, the character gets to a point we’re she was so strange it felt un human, but I think if you read into the psychology behind the characters a little more it is rather interesting.
Would I recommend this film, to be honest it depends who you are. If you are my friend then I probably would as it is kinda good and I would like to see your reaction, but if we just met or are acquaintances then I probably wouldn’t feel comfortable putting you through that yet. But if you like films that are a little unordinary then by all means go for it and u won’t be disappointed.
7.5/10
