Apparently this isn’t a film about the guy from the Ripleys believe it or not books.
The talented mr Ripley really wasn’t a fun watch, for me anyway. It was really weird and uncomfortable. It’s a 2 hour film but for me it was a lot longer as I paused it many times since I found it so difficult to watch.
I think because it was about a really creepy guy telling a big lie and the whole film I was just waiting for that lie to be exposed so I just constantly felt uncomfortable.
Ripley was an extremely weird character. He seemed really smart but was also really dumb. He was also really lucky and extremely unlucky at the same time.
After the first half where the thing happens, it kinda gets a bit boring. I think because it becomes entirely only about Ripley and I just found that kinda annoying.
It had its moments. But i just feel strange after watching it. And I feel bad for Peter. Didn’t like the ending, but it wasn’t too bad, I just didn’t like it.
