I really wanted to like this. It’s been very high on my list for a long time now and I was thinking that I’d love it. It was just so boring. I am very aware that I’m probably in the minority here but maybe it’s just not my kind of film. The cinematography was incredible and the acting was phenomenal, I knew Robert Paterson was a good actor but I didn’t realise he was that good. I also like Robert Eggers a lot and was ready for this to be one of my favourite films, but it wasn’t.  Maybe it’s coz I didn’t get it, maybe it’s because I was so bored that I nearly fell asleep. But this wasn’t for me. The plot was interesting but it was too weird and complicated and really just wasn’t what I was in the mood for. I apologise if my review annoyed you I really wish I did like this and maybe I’ll even try watch it again some time, but I just didn’t enjoy it.  5.9/10
