So I finally saw the godfather. I thought I was holding off on watching it because I was so excited to see such an amazing film, but really it wasn’t that amazing and I’ve realised I wasn’t watching it because I knew how boring it would be. I liked Mike, I think that was his name, he was pretty cool at the end. To be honest with you though I wasn’t paying too much attention to what was going on, I was falling asleep the whole film and at one point I closed my eyes for just a second after the wedding at the start and when I opened them again  (spoiler) don had been shot (spoiler)  I then had to keep myself awake as I had been so excited for this film for so long and I was finally seeing it for the first time for the 50th anniversary at the cinema with some people from work, and I was fucking it up by not staying awake. So I spent the next 2 or so hours of the film ( I honestly have no idea how much I missed so of someone could let me know that would be great) every time my eyes began to shut I would stab myself in the hand or leg with the needle from my name tag and that more or less worked. I should have just gone and seen uncharted and had a nice nap.  long film, some good acting, some less good acting, but I understand why people like it so much, I need to give it another go.  I never used to understand how people would fall asleep in the cinema and now I’m becoming my dad and it’s making me ruin my first ever watch of a “masterpiece”.  6.8/10
