So I love your name, and after I watched it I was desperate for more Makoto Shinkai, but I watched 5 centimetres a second and weathering with you and I didn’t like them too much so I put this off, but after hearing a couple of youtubers argue over whether or not this is a good movie I thought I’d give it a go. Of course the animation is amazing, some scenes were animated so beautifully that It looked real, mostly shots of the rain hitting the water or floor, but that was the same for weathering with you. Though even shots of pieces of paper looked great, every single shot had such incredible attention to detail. Nice sound track, decent story, the story was a little boring at times but it did have its moments. Not a long film so I wasn’t expecting an amazing story but it was pretty good and better than I expected. So yeah I think this was a good movie, but I don’t think it was anything special because of the unremarkable and basic story, I may watch it again one day as it seems like it’ll probably be quite forgettable and it’s short so easy to watch.
