I really loved the ending, probably one of my favourite film endings of all time, amazing. I think Riz Ahmed deserves best actor for this film as his performance was fantastic. I loved so much the way they played with sound in this film, it was so smart. The way they put us in his perspective making us hear exactly what he was hearing really made me feel for the character and the acting made this even better. I think this might even deserve best picture. I tried making a short film about someone going deaf in my first year of film school, mind was shit of course as it was like the second film I made but I tried playing with the sound in the same sort of way, it was just so fascinating to me to see it done well, really made me have an emotional connection to the film. Riz Ahmed is the first Muslim to receive a best actor nomination and I really hope he wins as this film was just great. Very well done, I will be looking out for more films directed by Darius Marder in the future. my films 8.6/10
