The twist in this film is really good. That’s probably the best, most memorable part of the film. Rewatching it and picking up on all the Subtle hints towards this twist was a very different experience than when I first watched it.
I found the overall film to be a bit slow and dry. I really liked the lighting in it, but yeah up until the twist I find the story kind of boring. Leonardo is one of the best actors of all time though and it’s pretty cool seeing him act alongside Mark Ruffalo, he gives a hell of a performance in this, and I also gotta appreciate the film for having one of the best twists I’ve ever seen, but up until that point I found it to be very boring. It’s a very long film and it doesn’t feel like much happened for the first hour. When we were an hour in we paused it and we’re shocked we went further in because of how long it felt like we’d already been watching it for.
The clues and stuff to the twist are cool and the twist is amazing but I just don’t like the film too much as a whole. But I appreciate it.
