I don’t usually like war films, but I feel like some of the best films ever made are war films so I’ve ended up watching a lot of them. This is one of them. I don’t think this was particularly special in anyway other than the fact it was really good. I guess them doing all that to save Ryan was really interesting and made the ending a lot more emotional.  Well acted, one of the best parts of this film was the acting, Tom Hanks is great, two of the actors in friends, Vin Diesel, Matt Damon and all the rest of them, extremely good. All their characters, or most of their characters were really interesting also. A couple of them had their own character development, like the coward who spoke German, his character ended up being really good.  I loved the ending a lot, probably the best part, very sad. Also the first war scene when they come off the boats is iconic, I’ve never seen this film before but I feel like I’ve watched parts of that scene so many times, wether it’s on YouTube, in history class or just some big shaq meme on Instagram.  Very violent, lots of devastating and incredibly acted death scenes. Really good film, should have watched it a long time ago but was never really in the mood until today.  8.5/10
