My fourth wall is now on YouTube! We made this film over a year ago now and I am so proud of it. Filming this was one of the best experiences of my life and made the entire 3 years at uni feel worth it. So grateful to all of the people who helped out on this, had such a great crew of talented people and I definitely couldn’t have done this without them. Especially thankful to my co director George. I had never met George before I pitched this idea, but we worked together so well, I think this film ended up being the perfect combination of both our filmmaking styles and I can’t wait to see what we end up doing next. If anyone would like to watch it - they can find the link Here ! Thank you so much to everyone who helped us make this in anyway shape or form it really made my year! I’m gonna try write a somewhat honest review of this film now. I do think it’s good, there’s stuff that I would change about it, but I think the fourth wall concept is one of my strongest ideas. There’s a lot that was cut out as we had to get a 25 minute film down to 15 minutes, so if I had the chance now I would add a lot of that back in, but I think it works maybe even better how it is now. We have missed out on a lot of the stuff that I think really makes the concept of the character knowing he’s in a film work, but we have cut it down to a point where I think it’s still enjoyable even if you have no idea what the fourth wall is. There’s a couple of sound bits that annoy me, but overall, Marcus did an excellent job with the cinematography and I’m so happy with the shots, we shot on an ARRI Alexa and it shows because it looks fantastic. Personally I think the last scene is amazing, I’m happy to have wrote that song but our actor Cameron really came through for it with very little preparation, he preformed it so well that I no longer feel comfortable playing that song myself anymore. There’s a couple of things I would change, but it’s been a year since we filmed it and we just wanted to get it out there so people could watch it and I’m honestly so happy with it in its current state. 7.0/10
