Was excited for this for quite a while….. I’m not exactly disappointed, I just can’t remember why I looking forward to it in the first place. I didn’t like any of the characters, and I especially disliked Lady Gaga’s character, she was such a bad person but in such an annoying way. Adam drivers character wasn’t that great either, my favourite part in the film was when he actually stood up for himself and called his wife out for being such a bitch, but then he went back to doing exactly the same shit and it annoyed me. I did like when Lady Gaga’s character left and wasn’t in the film for a little bit but every time she came back and acted like the main character again that also annoyed me, I dislike her, and I don’t know how accurate this film is but I dislike the woman she’s based on too. Al Pacino was alright tho.
Anyway now I’ve gotten how annoying I find the characters out the way, just wanna mention it had nothing to do with the acting, the acting was very good and I really like most of the actors in this film. It had a nice soundtrack, I enjoyed the wedding as it played faith by George Michael. I dislike the ending, the two years later shit was… well kinda shit, and I think his death scene could have been done a lot better. I think this film covered an interesting topic of wealth and power in an interesting way, but overall with the irritating character and the kinda long drawn out story, I wasn’t the biggest fan of this film.
6.7/10
