One of the more uncomfortable viewing experiences I’ve had. This almost feels like a horror film, it’s terrifying. The films set in the 60s and it’s about a girl who gets pregnant and they don’t want to keep it, but abortion is illegal.
Some of the stuff she had to go through was terrifying, there were so many scenes I found really hard to watch. The fact girls have had to and still have to go through all that is so sad and scary.
You stick with her the whole time and follow her frightening journey and watch the lengths she has to go through in order to keep living her life. It’s amazing how a film can make you understand people’s experiences you could never hope to understand otherwise and it’s again just quite scary to watch.
I don’t think I’d ever watch this again, but it was a good film.
