Last film of 2022, and it was a good one. Took over 15 years to make and how can you not respect that. The amount of care and effort that goes into every single frame of claymation is inspirational and incredible.
Takes a much darker approach with the Pinocchio story, closer to the original story rather than the Disney version and I enjoyed it a lot. Pinocchios character was so interesting and the whole him being immortal until he gives it up to save someone who isn’t, I really enjoyed. The film looked amazing, some of the creatures and spirits were so well designed.
I loved the ending, the final shot of the pine cone falling, a lot of voice actors I love in it, honestly just a wonderful enjoyable film.
I really loved how dark it was and I loved all the characters, final film of 2022 and it’s high on my list of the years films.
Loved the ending too, made me tear up a little.
