I love the Russo brothers and Tom Holland so I kinda just wanna pretend this was good...  I can just imagine the Russo brothers telling Tom Holland -  “Ok so this next shot we are gonna shoot from inside your asshole” “Ok sure, where do you wa- I’m sorry did you say inside my asshole” “Yeah, don’t worry, we made a model of your ass and we are gonna show the doctor looking into it as a POV from inside” “Ummm ok, why?” “Trust me, it’s gonna be really cool, no ones ever done anything like this before”  I didn’t like the fourth wall breaks, didn’t feel natural to me, and lots of the voice over felt pointless. I will never speak a bad word about Tom Holland though so just wanna say the acting was great. I don’t feel bad about talking about the Russo brothers though after they made me sit through extraction which they produced, wasn’t a fan of the directing. The camera work was annoying, so was the editing. The story was kinda plain. The ptsd, war and bank stuff was all mildly interesting, even the addiction which was handled terribly, but the boring romance with the girl who’s name I’ve already forgotten was done poorly, I couldn’t care less about their relationship and she really annoyed me, the only good thing that came from it was the scene that I actually really liked when he was on the phone to her, and that’s just because Tom Holland acting was great. I did enjoy some parts of the story, the scene where the car blows up after he gets told to stay behind I thought was pretty interesting, in all there where too many creative decisions that just didn’t work, kinda felt like the Russo brothers were trying too hard to make this film all stylistic and stuff. Soundtrack was too distracting at times also and just as I thought the film was finally over the whole ending is in Slo mo, somehow managing to make it even more boring than it would have been already, painfully slow. Tom Holland is an incredible actor and he carried this film, some of the scenes of him dealing with the ptsd were done so well, only person that could make me care this much about such a two dimensional character. Was hoping this would be better than devil all the time but it wasn’t.  But at least we gotta see Tom Holland say the f word. 4.5/10
