This is a really interesting film about addiction and about the lengths a mother is willing to go to to protect her son. Even though she probably had no way to help him, and her showing up would probably make it worse for him and her, she couldn’t just sit there while her son was in danger. Kinda reminded me of my mum. I’ve never been in a situation where I forced her to come and save my life as I was a drug addict but I’d like to think if I was a drug addict she’d do her best to help me.  I dunno why I like Lucas Hedges but I watched this for him. Probably because Manchester by the sea is such an amazing film and his acting is superb in that. He was really good in this also, but though I’m not a fan of Julia Roberts I thought she was great in this too, she gave a very believable and emotional performance and I quite liked her.  This film made me miss my dog. A lot of is about a dog. The dog in this is amazing and it made me miss my dogs a lot. I’m away from home as I’m at uni atm so I don’t get to see them often. I wanna give my dog a hug.  This is a very sad film. It’s pretty much sad the whole way through so I really wanted a happy ending. I wouldn’t exactly call the ending happy I’d just call it…. Not sad. It was a good ending, mostly because of the dog.  Yeah I wasn’t too bothered about watching this film I just couldn’t pick any other film to watch, but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t amazing but it was enjoyable, the characters and relationships between the characters were all very interesting and I liked the acting.  7.4/10
