This is a pretty depressing office spin off. Sad that holly and Michael had a drug addict son then got divorced.  I cried the whole way through this. Deeply emotional and based on a true story. It’s about a dad and a son with a great relationship, but the son is depressed and he turns to drugs. Their relationship was amazing and they were played by two great actors, Steve Carell who gives one of the best performances I’ve ever seen from him and Timothée Chalamet, another great actor who I really respect. They both did amazing and have truly heart warming performances.  This film often is compared to the film Ben is back, which was released in the same year and both tackle the subject of drug addiction in great ways. Personally I preferred this as watching it was genuinely a very emotional experience for me. But I think they’re both good movies and are very different. I think I just preferred the characters more in this one, this one also focused on the characters childhood and spoke more on the subject of mental health and why people turn to drugs.  I really liked this film and I haven’t had an experience with a film like that in a while. Everything. 8.5/10 This made me really wanna act. I was in a short film a bit ago (that I haven’t seen yet) and I have plans to do more. The acting in this motivated me.
