Venom 2 let there be carnage wasn’t a good film, but the after credits made it all worth it for me so if you watch it remember to stick around for that.  So yeah, not a good film, it was somewhat enjoyable just because Eddie and venom are likeable characters who I do want to see again (just maybe not in venom 3). Everything else though other than the banter between Eddie and venom was pretty bad, and even that felt kinda forced and unfunny at times. It’s like they realised the only good thing about the first one was Eddie and venom so they just decided to make that the plot of the next one, but also throwing in that popular villain guy carnage so more people will actually go and see it.  I like Woody Harrelson, but it was a weird casting, he is kind of cringy as Kasady. His girlfriend was also not great, the fact her power is sound and that’s venom’s weakness added some predictability to the film. And for Eddie, it’s just the same shit as the first one, he’s in love with his ex who’s in love with someone else and he finds venom annoying sometimes because venom likes to eat faces, throw in too many jokes about Eddie and venom being in love and that’s basically the whole film. It really just felt like not much happened, there’s a serial killer in jail, he becomes carnage and escapes, there’s a detective that finds eddie suspicious, venom and Eddie have some relationship problems, they fight carnage, the end. It felt like a really pointless film and the only reason I’m not walking away disappointed is again because of the after credits and the fact the main 2 characters and cool and I wanna see them again. Venom didn’t even look good, carnage didn’t look that good, this was definitely worse than venom 1, the first one had its flaws but it was more interesting.  Not too disappointed, I saw this for free because I work at the cinema, though I did pay £5 for the bus, so It’s currently 5 and I’m gonna wait till 8 and see dune to get my money’s worth. Sitting at the beach cold writing this review to pass the time but I think I’ve pretty much said everything now. 6.0/10
