Obviously it’s not my first time watching this film. my favourite Martin Scorsese film, that man is a genius. My favourite Leonardo DiCaprio film, that man is also a genius. I truly love this film, it was however, a little hard to rewatch, very long, but really just brilliant. There’s some amazing lines and moments, “I’m not fucking leaving”,"Let Me Give You A Little Legal Advice: Shut The Fuck Up!", “I will not die sober”. Also some really amazing scenes, mostly involving drugs, like when they took the lemons, all of that was so well done, the boat crash with the plane exploding, the fourth wall breaks, all of it is just so good. Jonah hill was pretty good and it’s pretty cool that he got to work with his idol Martin Scorsese. Margot Robbie as always, is Margot Robbie, just one of the best actresses of our time.
The guy himself is a bit of a dick, he’s only likeable because of Leo, the real life Jordan Belfort is a little annoying, he wrote a book about all this and is very proud of it, I’m pretty sure he has a Wolf of Wall Street podcast, I find that a little weird considering how this ended (spoiler. with him screwing over all his friends and getting a happy ending). If you didn’t know the guy on the mic in the final scene introducing Jordan, is actually the real life Jordan.
One of my favourite films of all time and I’d recommend it to everyone who hasn’t seen it already, it’s on Netflix and worth the lengthy runtime.
