DreamWorks are so much better than Pixar at the moment. This had the heart of a classic Disney film with the excellent animation of modern day DreamWorks which have genuinely been killing it in that regard recently. Bad guys and puss in boots both look fantastic and so does this, but they all feel somewhat unique in their own way. You can see the influences from into the spider verse but they aren’t straight up just trying to copy it.
This film just emotionally manipulates you the whole time in the best way possible. I laughed, I cried, I love that robot and I love all the animals. Wholesome, sad, it had it all. Nothing to hate about this movie it’s just good vibes and makes you feel really happy for a couple hours. I recommend. It’s nice to see the big animation studios are still capable of bangers like these.
