The Secret Life of Walter Mitty 2013

Probably the best thing I’ve ever seen from Ben stiller. No wait, Madagascar is the best thing Ben stiller has ever done. Zoolanders pretty good too.  Very well shot, there’s some incredible transitions and some really interesting shots. I like the films use of the colour blue. The whole thing is just really pleasant to look at.  You ever have that thing happen when you have a dream that’s so good you get a little sad when you wake up. Imagine having that feeling constantly throughout your day. Your whole life is just a constant disappointment. You tell the girl you like you like her and then wake up back up back to being too scared to say anything. You’re haunted by the version of yourself you wish you were.  This films about a guy like that going on an adventure so crazy he can’t help but think he’s dreaming. He’s finally able to live up to this perfect version of him. It’s a really fun, motivational story and I enjoyed watching it a lot.  I loved how they showed his inner thoughts through his fantasy’s. I really liked the Conan O’Brien taxi scene. There was one particular transition I really liked, where it cuts from the film stock to the water, it looked amazing.  Yeah it was a really nice watch, a really good film, good acting, fun motivational story and a really well shot film, nothing really to fault about it, I really enjoyed.  8.6/10
