Kinda like a worse version of how to train your dragon but with sea monsters and pirates instead of dragons and vikings. Character wise it’s definitely not as good, but I watched this mostly coz of karl urban and he didn’t disappoint.
Surprisingly though the animation in this film is amazing, I normally love how water looks in animation so I loved watching a lot of scenes in this. I didn’t like the main girl Mazie, her character was kinda generic but there were some cool sea monsters and I liked karl urbans character.
Really none of the characters were that likeable and the story wasn’t that entertaining, everything I liked about this is just stuff that reminds me of how to train your dragon, when httyd does it a lot better anyway. Although I do like pirates.
