My second favourite film based on Shakespeare after Gnomeo and Juliet.
I probably never would have seen this. Not my kind of film at all. I can’t even be bothered to see the lighthouse even tho it’s a film I’ve been kinda excited about since it’s release in 2019. But I got the day off work today and there’s a cinema 10 minutes from my house (also I get free films) so I thought I may as well go see it, and it was very good.
I think I just don’t like too dark films as I get kinda bored but this one was just really cool. It was extremely violent, intense and tragic, and kept my attention for like 90% of the film. It was a little forgettable I feel, I probably will forget it completely in a couple of days, but it was a lot better than I expected it to be.
I love revenge stories like this, this was a pretty satisfying one. The gore was pretty cool and the final fight at the end was really good. I quite enjoyed this, I probably wouldn’t recommend it to any one other than my one friend who loves vikings, and I will probably never see it again, but I’m glad I got to experience it at the cinema and I had a nice time.
Also Anya Taylor-Joy is one of the best actresses in Hollywood atm.
