I had to force myself to watch this a little but my streak continues, I’ve seen every mcu film at the cinema since avengers came out in 2012. I think that used to feel like a flex but now given the current state of the mcu it feels kinda sad, but I see films for free and I may as well keep the streak going.
I think maybe coz I literally just finished watching ms marvel but I didn’t hate this, she was the best part, weirdly captain marvel wasn’t as bad as expected either, she was actually quite likeable for once, I think thanks to Kamala. Ms marvels family are very funny too so glad they were in this, would have been nice to see Bruno tho.
I think the mcu has been quite bad with women characters so far, but this was fine, it wasn’t annoying or extra it was just normal which is exactly how it should be. It was done perfectly. The film itself wasn’t perfect for many other reasons though.
It wasn’t the best but it was good enough and I loved seeing Kamala get to meet captain marvel. Their friendship was kinda wholesome. Monica could have been a little better but she was still likeable. I don’t know what happened to nick fury though he used to be so cool now he’s less important than a cat.
Ending was really funny, made me excited for young avengers. was so happy to see Kate bishop on the big screen too, this is why I actually like the shows.
The singing bit felt a little cringe.
Kamala and her family carried the film.
Overall this film had the potential to be the worst marvel film and it wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t even close to the worst.
