It’s a good film, I don’t think the problem with it is just that it’s too long, it’s just structured kinda weird with the 3 parts, after the third one started I was just waiting for it to end and it didn’t for ages. Snow is interesting, his character development was good, he’s a well written character. Lucy gray was also very likeable, I was loving it up until the third part were it felt like it should have ended. Its not too say the final part was bad, that’s were most of snows character development took place, it just felt like the climax of the film came too early, the final part just felt like a really long epilogue.  Some people apparently have been saying the final part could have been a separate film which I can kinda see. I’m not sure how well that would have worked, but overall the structure of the film let it down a lot, parts of it I liked even more than the actual hunger games, could have been much better if it wasn’t so long.  Made me cry a little when she started singing the hanging tree. Loved the references to katnis. Motivated to finish the hunger games now.  Was hard to watch at times, really enjoyed a lot of it, not a bad film. Does really well to make you hate yet like snow at the same time. Makes you care about the characters a lot which is why some of it was hard to watch. 6.9/10
