I don’t know if weird is the right word to describe this film. Odd maybe? This film was odd. A lot happens in it that I thought was kinda weird and I don’t really get why it was done other than the sake of just being a bit odd. Like the 666 stuff. Everyone recognising the girl.
There’s a lot of shots and edits I really liked in this. I liked the shot with the speech bubbles over both the guys heads. I liked the cut from the bathtub scene to the news warning us of graphic content. I really liked the shot of the two of them at the end after the really messed up stuff happens, sitting there in silence for a minute, as you kinda sit with them processing what just happened. The, what I will keep referring to as “the messed up scene”, if you’ve seen the film you will know what I’m talking about, felt really sudden and weird at the end. But I guess they kinda make it out like somethings gonna happen between the two guys until the very end where they are interrupted by the weird nazi homophobic frat guys.
I think the main girl was a good actor, still don’t like James Duval much. He felt different from the other role in the trilogy in this film, reminded me of a young keanu reeves from bill and ted.
preferred more than totally fucked up, but not by much. Just felt lacking in the story. This was the R rated version though as I couldn’t find the X rated directors cut that’s 12 minutes longer.
A dog dies in this. Find dogs dying hard to watch.
