The Banshees of Inisherin 2022

My expectations were definitely high, it didn’t exactly meet them but it was still undeniably a good film.  Martin McDonagh is a legend, I love all his films ( mostly) and this was no exception. Fantastic script, cinematography and acting. Really cool story that felt very small and isolated in this quiet town in Ireland which made it feel so real and emotional and made the film very cool.  Farrel and Gleason were both good of course, but Barry Keoghan was the main stand out that surprised me, also Colin Farrell has a great monologue when he’s drunk on whiskey. I will probably see this again, it was slow and wasn’t incredibly entertaining, but it handled the theme of friendship so well and it worked incredibly in the location of the film, I really enjoyed it.  8.0/10
