This film is exactly what you think it is. Tall girl is sad because she’s tall. Gets bullied. Has best friend who has crush on her. No other guys like her. Meets a guy that likes her and then a bunch of boring stuff happens. Realises the guy she liked wasn’t that great and the best friend was who she was meant for the whole time.   Except they didn’t make the tall guy that bad of a person and they made the best friend a bit of a weirdo. I actually think she came off as more annoying and a worse person than the tall guy that didn’t appreciate her.  Obviously didn’t expect this film to be good at all. Was kind of in the mood to watch a bad film. The acting was awful, the characters were generic, dumb and difficult to deal with.  I watched this with my friend Jennifer, am going to quote some of her review as she did a very in depth deep dive into the characters that was very well written. “Everyone is so possessive in this film it’s weird… they are literally children but acting like they own people after a day of knowing them or whatever? that Gordon Ramsay impression was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! These two boys together are so unfunny I would probably off myself if I went to school with them. Maybe I am like Tall Girl after all, just negative and always complaining and kind of tall. I feel like I’m a good tall though.” The relationship between the best friend and the tall girl was kind of weird and uncomfortable. The main bully viv (Kimmy) was just really unnecessarily mean and had no depth to her character and it was kind of annoying. The sister was kind of funny but mostly just kind of insane and cartoonish which was a little weird.  None of the characters were particularly likeable, I didn’t like tall girl as she was really whiny and as Jen said in her review “She needs to get over herself and get a sense of humour. How can she expect to “claim” the exchange “hottie” (who is not hot) when she is that plain and boring. Just mopes around and thinks about herself.”.  Her speech at the end was hard to watch. I always find it really annoying when the unpopular girl does a speech where she tells off the whole school and tells everyone how great she is. She really isn’t that great or “smart and fun”. Stood up in the middle of prom and told everyone how amazing she is and how good she is at piano. Her sister interrupting her actually made me laugh a little tho. Realistically no one would clap for that speech they would all just stand there uncomfortably. She was a bit over dramatic at the end. Didn’t really want her to end up with either of the guys.  2.5/10
