I first watched this the 4th May 2020. It’s 2 years later and yesterday I watched everything everywhere all at once. The film effected me way more now rewatching it. The Daniels are incredible. They are able to tell such beautiful story’s with heartwarming messages in such a fun and weird way, paired with incredible cinematography, acting, editing and music. For the second time in 2 days I am blown away by their genius. Not on the same scale as everything everywhere, but I reckon seeing this at the cinema would have been incredible.
I was really exited for Paul Dano to play Riddler as I really like him but forgot why as I hadn’t seen him in many films. I just remembered why. He is incredible in this, and starring alongside him is one of my favourite actors/ people in the world, Daniel Radcliffe who plays the best dead body in all of cinema.
Such a nice message, presented to us in a great way, showing us a man who has forgotten everything. And another guy having to explain to this man how we as humans have to be embarrassed by things that people will laugh at you for or think you’re weird for, like farting in public. Building up to and ending that I loved so much.
I am so inspired by the Daniels. I now know what kinda director I’d hope to be. I now have something to work towards.
