Split 2016
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan117 minHorror · Thriller
Though Kevin has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher, there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey, Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him — as well as everyone around him — as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.

Yep, English actors are much better than Americans. James McAvoy was amazing in this, he was my favourite part of the xmen prequels and he was my favourite part of this film, the way he was able to do all those great personalities and make them all feel so real, definitely a highlight of this film. It was also really interesting, kind of dumb though (I think all super hero films are probably dumb it’s just more noticeable since this isn’t based on a comic book) the whole split personalities think was so cool. I’m a little disappointed though as I was expecting a big twist ending and it didn’t really deliver on that front, very exited to watch glass though. I love the intensity in this film, I’m gathering that’s one of the main things M. Night Shyamalan (I don’t care if I spelt that wrong) is pretty good at. I also liked Anya Taylor-Joy which is good as I’m a big Edgar Wright fan and she's starring in his new film Last Night in Soho. Out of the 3 films I’ve seen that have her in it (the new mutants, Emma and radio active) I haven’t liked any of them so this gives me hope for her in the new film. Credits were cool, I really liked the credits, they were split up and there were multiple credits all at once, like the split personalities, just thought that was a cool detail I liked that I wanted to add. Good film, the fact it was kinda boring and stupid knocks it down a few points but great acting and it was probably much better than unbreakable.
