I honestly believe, into the spiderverse is one of the best films of all time. I’m sure very few people would agree with me because of all the amazing films out there but this is one of my favourites, no films come close for me in terms of the animation and soundtrack, even the voice acting. It sparked a new wave of animated films that look so good with puss in boots and the new ninja turtles film. I went into this with mostly excitement due to my expectations being so high but also with doubt that they can replicate the amount of emotion I experienced when watching the first one. But at the very least this was guaranteed to be an amazing looking film with lots of cool cameos.  I feel really underwhelmed, the film was amazing, obviously looked incredible, lots of cool spider people and I’m sure the next one will be good but, it was a part one of two, and I honestly don’t know how much I can love a film that doesn’t have an ending. The fight sequence was so cool and it was all really good, there were a couple of cameos that were unexpected and made me smile but i won’t spoil any of them for you.  The good thing about having a 2 parter is they flesh out all the characters way more, we really get to know his mum and Gwen, with some new additions to the spider team that really worked, such as Daniel kaluuya as spider punk and Andy Samberg as Scarlett spider. I really liked spot too, he was funny, though Oscar Isaac was the real antagonist and he was predictably really good also. Spot was funny and kinda like an underdog villain which was cool, he was one of the villains in one of the first comic books I ever bought, the mark wade daredevil series, so I was really happy seeing him in this. Honestly jake Johnson as Peter is my favourite Spider-Man so I wish he was in this more but nice to see him nonetheless. Lego Spider-Man was nice to see also, made me laugh. Gwens dad was nice to meet aswell, honestly so much cool things that happened, but overall the film is let down by the fact it doesn’t have an ending, it was amazing to watch and really well made, but didn’t effect me as much emotionally as the first film did, but that’s because we never get to see the emotional climax that I’m sure would have had me hiding in my seat crying my eyes out just like I do every time I watch the first film.  Good film, but only half of a good film, can’t give it my full opinion for another year which is very annoying, but I’m still happy I got to see it.  The film has No After Credits for anyone planning on sitting till the end.  Cameo spoilers  I wanna talk about the cameos but there will be major spoilers here.  Live action Donald glover showing up made me so happy. Fun fact about miles morales if you didn’t already know, there’s a show Donald glover (childish gambino) is in called community which is a great show. Donald glover wanted to be cast as Spider-Man so In an episode of community called anthropology 101, he wore a Spiderman costume, which led to marvel writer, Brian Michael Bendis to create Miles Morales. Donald glover was literally the inspiration for miles and it was so cool to see him pop up in the film. In the first film, I could be wrong but I think it’s in his uncles house, there’s a tv playing in the background which shows the very scene in community of Donald glover wearing his Spider-Man PJs. He also went on to play Miles’ uncle in the film Spiderman homecoming, where while being Interrogated by Tom Hollands Spider-Man, he references his nephew. So yeah, was pretty cool to see him as the prowler in live action, was probably my favourite cameo of the film.  That scene and all the over live action cameos are all live action on top of animation, which works, it’s a little weird but because of the animation style it works. There’s actually one scene where spot sticks his head into a lady’s corner shop, which is the lady from venom, her not being shocked by the weird shit happening is obviously a reference to her seeing weird shit from venom all the time and being desensitised, but yeah this scene is I think the only scene in the film that is fully live action with animation over the top, which probably should feel a lot weirder than it did but I don’t know it really worked.  Andrew Garfield and Toby McGwire. Very pointless cameos and it just takes a projection of scenes from their films, but always nice to see andrews Spider-Man in the big screen. A lot of the cameos were like this, basically pointless but nice to see anyway, would have liked it if the play station Spiderman had a bigger role but I wasn’t really expecting him to so it’s fine. None of the cameos effect the plot at all they are just there as little treats for us which is quite nice.  My rating will change one I watch the next one I’m sure  8.4/10 After credits 0/10 there weren’t
