So this was the second film of the 24 hour Wes Anderson screening I’m at, impressed with myself I haven’t fallen asleep yet. I’ve seen this one before but it was really nice to see at the cinema. 2 films in and I still haven’t finished my popcorn. Royal Tenenbaums next which I haven’t seen before so I can’t wait.  This is probably my favourite Wes Anderson film. His style is more prominent here but it’s still not as in your face as his later stuff. Cool to see a high school Wes Anderson film too.  I love Bill Murray in this, his characters friendship with max was so interesting. Such an interesting story to me, a kid who acts like an adult getting too attached to his adult friends and getting hurt in the process. I just think this films so cool, it’s kinda hard to watch sometimes because of the second hand embarrassment, but yeah it’s my favourite Wes film I love it and I love max’s character.  It can be hard to watch but it has its wholesome moments, Herman meeting Maxs dad at the end was such a nice moment. Feel really bad for Herman as his life was kinda destroyed after meeting max, but I love that he treated max like an equal and never treated him as a child through the whole film, they were actually friends.  Jason Schwartzman definitely doesn’t look 15 in this, but he was apparently 18 so it’s not too far off.  This film had me laughing, smiling, cringing and almost crying, happy I got to see it in the cinema.  Last interval between films they did a quiz and I came 3rd place which I’m pretty happy about still. This time they are making us do stretches in character and reading to us. The woman doing it is dressed as Margo from Royal Tenenbaums, which I’ll probably find funny after I watch it.  8.0/10
