Based on how the last film ended, I thought it was like set up to this film, no John cena though... all we get is a mention “we don’t talk about that Shawn”
A second film is unexpected but appreciated, wasn’t needed, but I’m glad we got it. Glad lassy is the main focus since he was absent from the last film, I believe that was due to the actor’s stroke, which his character also had in this film. Also I said the last film was missing detective mcnab, who did make an appearance in this film. Another new addition to psych, Beth smith from rick and morty Or the girl who left ted at the alter in himym (i watch too much tv) who plays the nurse who likes gus. (Spoiler.... she’s the bad guy/ bad girl/ woman/ person, she is a cool villain but only coz I like the actor) We also gotta see them go back to Santa Barbara, and see what has become of the old psych office.
Does shawn just dream about Mary every night? I definitely didn’t expect him to show up again, especially the exact same way he showed up last time but as a singing baby (Wasn’t a dream this time though), if there is a 3rd movie they definitely will do it again.
Great seeing Gus get engaged and see his pregnant, wanted to see Shawn have a kid though but was nice. Felt like a nice psych episode but longer, which is what it should be, and all that it needed to be.
There’s a lot I could go into and fault about this film but I just don’t want to as it’s psych and I love it and I hope they keep making movies.
Just keep making these films forever until Shawn has a kid who is grown up then start another Boruto type series following Shawn a psychic son as he becomes a detective.
