This is one of those films that I used to watch every day as a kid, I had some weird obsession with it. I haven’t watched it since, but still to this day when someone asks me what my favourite studio ghibli film is I say ponyo without hesitation.
5 minutes into rewatching this film, I already knew my opinion wasn’t gonna change, I absolutely love this film.
I just love the water stuff. This along with a couple of other films I watched as a kid are probably why I love the ocean so much. It’s so cute as well.
The best ghibli film and it’s not even close.
