My sassy girl was recommended to me by a friend. I texted him saying I was going to watch it and he instantly called me and said he wanted to rewatch it with me and made the claim that this film was EASILY the greatest romance film of all time.  Ok well it’s definitely not the best romance of all time Marcus. It’s good, the ending got me a little, because the ending was amazing. And there were lots of really funny moments, though the humour mostly relied on slapstick, which was fine because it made me laugh a lot. Though, just like an anime, it felt like the film wasted a lot of time with pointless tangents that weren’t integral to the plot, which would be my main fault with it, as it bored me a tiny bit. Feels like the film could have been shorter and cleaner if it cut out a lot of the unnecessary moments that almost felt like “filler”.  That being said, I love the rom com genre, and I love anime, so a romance film that feels like an anime may be my new favourite thing to watch and I’m definitely open to more recommendations. The film had it moments and the ending was fantastic. As much as how the style of humour in this isn’t something I usually enjoy, it made me laugh a lot and was a very fun watch.  Also it being based on a true story makes me happy. I hope they are still together.  7.3/10
