30th film of the month. I’ve seen more films this month than I had done all year. You can tell from my letterboxd diary that I moved back home lol. 16 day streak.
Anyway on to the film. Or TV movie. I’m counting it. Very funny, dry humour, very self deprecating in a very likeable way. Reminded me of a show I like called Dave. It takes a crazy amount of self awareness to be able to write a show where you play yourself being a dick where all the other characters think you're a dick even though that’s what you're like in real life.
Though Larry David is more blunt than a dick in this film. He’s likeable in relatable sense that makes you feel like all people are stupid except you and Larry David who are just realists.
Heard lots of great things about this show including the fact it inspired my favourite tv show of all time it’s always sunny in Philadelphia. Very excited to watch it.
It’s a good mockumentary with lots of funny and cringeworthy moments where Larry David argues with people who are being stupid even though he’s not being much better.
I wasn’t gonna review this but I started doing my uni work and now I’m procrastinating so I came back to write this.
