LaRoy, Texas 2023

My grandad clicked on this randomly and I had no idea what it was and expected it to be really bad. It was actually one of the best films I’ve seen in a while and I really enjoyed it.  As the film went on and it began to reveal what the plot was I found myself getting excited coz of how good the idea was. There were so many interesting characters that all had their own well written development that was all interwoven in a way that was so well done.  The brother was such a dick that I was on the edge of my seat sitting wishing he would get shot.  An interesting way to do like a who done it when we already know the protagonist did it but he’s so stupid that they are on a hunt to find out why. Also the buddy cop aspect of it with the terrible detective played by the brilliant Steve Zahn (dad from diary of a wimpy kid). Each character was developed so well and I love how it all came together. This film had a lot going on but it was so well written it never felt like too much. I enjoyed it!  8.5/10
