Seeing Gojo on a big screen was all I really needed.  MAPPA’s animation is actually perfect, it doesn’t leave you in shock like ufotable, it’s not amazing to look at every frame, but the fights are incredible and the rest of it just looks perfect, not too good but definitely not bad.  After a week of working at a cinema every day, letting anime fan after anime fan into see Jujutsu Kaisen, one of my favourite anime’s, and waiting out side for them to all come out and talk about how good it was, I’ve finally seen it, and it was exactly what I expected. This film is based on volume 0 of the manga which I read before the anime finished airing so I knew most of what was gonna happen but had forgotten a lot. The characters were great, It was set before the anime, back when the second years of jujutsu high were first years, so all the characters apart from the 3 main first years are in it. We also have a different main character who isn’t in the series. I love Itadori but this guy probably would have been just as good of a protagonist for the show. Gojo is always amazing and I liked seeing more of the second years. The villain was also cool and had interesting motivations, overall there was a lot of good things, but the pacing felt really quick and the story felt kind of boring. It was a shame coz with such good characters it could have been great, but it felt really short, like not much happened when if it had a bit longer it could have been amazing. But the characters were really good just weren’t used to their full potential. Overall though Jujutsu Kaisen is really good and I believe it’s gonna be one of the next big anime’s, so having a film now as a prequel that anyone can watch, I think was a really good idea as it’ll get a lot more people into the show.  Jujutsu Kaisen is great and I recommend this film to anyone who has or hasn’t watched the show. I was extremely excited to see it at the cinema and it didn’t disappoint.  7.1/10
