One of the greatest movies of all time - or a near perfect replica of one of the greatest movies of all time, which still ends up being a pretty great movie.  Managed to replicate the feeling of the original, with the same emotion and epicness.  It really is almost as good as the original, if the original didn’t exist I think this would have been held in pretty high regard. Though in the end the voice acting and animation just can’t be beat, though they do a pretty good job.  Casting was really good, no one else could have played Stoick. I love how to train your dragon so much and this brought it to life without changing anything, which was cool. I still think it’s a little pointless given how close to the original it was and they did miss the chance to make a much darker and cooler film closer to the books, but maybe it wasn’t worth the risk of messing it up. This worked, I liked it a lot.  I’ll never get over how incredible the soundtrack is. Any film with this soundtrack can’t be bad. 8.6/10
