Was gonna watch all quiet on the western front but decided to go with a slightly different mood for my 4am film.
This was a nice rom com, one person trying desperately to make a guy break up with her in 10 days while the guy is trying desperately to make her fall in love with him in 10 days. The way they did this was a little weird, it makes more sense on her part as she’s writing an article for a magazine, but his boss saying he will only get to do his pitch if he can make a random girl they picked in a bar fall in love with him was really weird and didn’t make much sense. But still, it’s just a dumb Rom com so it’s fine, and overall I did find the concept quite interesting.
I found this quite funny actually, at times quite hard to watch out of second hand embarrassment, but seeing her messing with him was very funny at times and did make me laugh a little.
Seeing Matthew Mc- (not gonna attempt the spelling) in a rom com seemed quite weird and I think that’s what put me off watching this sooner, but he was actually really good in the role. I also really loved the female lead who’s name I don’t know….
Oh ok it was Kate Hudson. She was really likeable and funny and made a good protagonist. And as the supporting cast we have Kathryn Hahn and Adam Goldberg who I really like as he’s in friends and I think … Saving Private Ryan and some other stuff. Also Thomas Lennon who has probably been in lots of stuff but I know him mostly from How I Met Your Mother. Anyway nice cast, bunch of likeable characters.
Yeah this film was enjoyable, I didn’t love it but it was funny and a nice romance.
