What a film.
May unironically be my second favourite musical of all time (tick tick boom). Watched this at 4am on a projector in my friends living room while they drifted off asleep and I sang all the songs with a blocked nose. Lots of fun.
Some good songs, cute little romance, I nearly cried at the end but was with people so managed to control myself and I don’t think they noticed so please don’t tell them.
Fun film, the plot is very dumb, it’s about a school realising kids are allowed to have more than one hobby, they come off as quite weird, but there’s some fun quirky characters and I have some high nostalgia here so ima stand firm and say this is a good film.
I will forever love the music in this film.
Sharpei - sharpay- sharpie - (I’m sure one of those is the right spelling) is a bit over the top but I love her and I think they fixed her in the sequels a lot. Ryan definitely gets cooler in the later films.
After the film finished I thought it’d be funny to instantly go back and rewatch it but everyone had fallen asleep and I realised it wasn’t worth committing to the joke so I only lasted 15 minutes but I kinda regret not just watching the whole film again.
