This film is a masterpiece, sure somewhere along the series the films started being not as good, but I’ve re read the books recently and this really is the perfect adaptation. The casting is perfect, every single actor portrays their characters perfectly. Alan Rickman is amazing of course, and Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, the Phelps brothers, Matthew Lewis, Robbie Coltrane and Maggie Smith are perfect for their roles. I also believe Richard Harris is a much better Dumbledore than Michael Gambon, they are both good but Harris is way more similar to how Dumbledore is in the books. John Williams score for this film is incredible and it makes me so nostalgic to listen to it. I’ve watched this film more times than I can count, it was my favourite film/ series as a kid and it’s still just as good today. I grew up with Harry Potter and I’m happy I got into it early enough to see the final 2 at the cinema, It makes me so happy to go back and rewatch them. The atmosphere and world building are amazing and even though it’s only because of the book it’s based on, the story is amazing too. Also it’s British. I love everything about this film, it’s hard for me to rate this objectively as Harry Potter is my childhood as I used to watch it like once a week as a kid and I even dressed up as Voldemort for world book day at primary school. Honestly I don’t think they could make a better Harry Potter film even if it was directed by Quentin Tarantino.
