“HARRY YOU LITTLE SHIT! DID YOU PUT YOUR FUCKING NAME IN THAT GOBLET OF FIRE!!!!!!” says Dumbledore calmly.  Annoying how one of the best books in the series turned out to be one of the worst films. I loved this film as a kid, it was my favourite film of the series, but I hadn’t read the book back then. Where’s ludo bagman? Where’s winky? Where’s Pigwidgeon? Where’s (best character of the whole series) dobby? Where’s S.P.E.W? And where are the Dursleys?  If you love the films like me and you’ve never read the books. Please read the goblet of fire! Even if you skip the first 3 books, read this it’s amazing. I can’t believe I’ve gone most of my life being a massive Harry Potter fan but only ever having read the first 2 books. Seriously read them.  Setting the book aside for a second. The tri wizard tournament is an incredibly entertaining plot and the graveyard scene is my favourite scene in the whole series. Sure it could have been better but it’s still a harry potter film so it’s still amazing. Robert Patterson and David Tennant in Harry Potter! I was a big doctor who fan when I first got into Harry Potter so David Tennant being in it always blew my mind, he’s not in it much as he’s drinking a poly juice potion but he has a great scene at the end. Mad eye was another great casting.  I know I said I’d stop talking bout the book but Hagrids best storyline is gone, Hermione vs Rita Skeeter (that may have been in the next one), the riddles, the World Cup, also ludo bagman, I know I said him already but he’s not some minor character he’s massive and they just left him out. I’m pretty sure Newell didn’t read the book right? That’s what my friends said but I could be wrong.  Ron is a bit of a git at the start and later on with Hermione but he makes up for it by being the funniest character, him and Harry trying to get dates was really funny. Rupert Grint is amazing.  Emma Watson is Emma Watson. Perfect, as always. The films saving grace. The reason why I’ve always stood by the fact it’s still a good film. The Dark Lord’s return. My favourite scene in the whole series. One of the best and hardest hitting deaths in the series because it’s the first one and it’s a student. Voldemort is amazing and so is him and Harry’s rivalry. Another PERFECT casting and probably his best performance throughout the films. He was scary, weird looking yet amazing looking, creepy and incredibly intimidating. I own his wand as it’s the best looking wand in the series and I dressed up as him as a kid twice (one IN SCHOOL for world book day and once at my dads 30th birthday, both times my best friend at the time dressed up as Harry Potter). The scene truly is amazing. And when Harry returns and there’s the happy music that stops when people find out what’s happened. Fucking incredible and so sad. I don’t think this is the best film anymore (I actually used to think it was the second best behind DH p2) but this scene and the acting makes me still love it no matter what anyone says. Book is way better tho  8.4/10
