Was really exited for this film and it was pretty good. Ever since Godzilla Vs kong became one of my least favourite films ever I haven’t been the biggest Godzilla fan but now I love it again this film was so cool.  Really liked that it was set right after the war in Japan, the main guy being a kamikaze pilot was really interesting, I loved his character. All the characters were quite good, it really made the film.  the fact you usually see Godzilla getting attacked by armies made this feel way more scary and it was super effective, seeing them in a little boat fighting this giant monster that breaks massive ships in two. When it finally reaches land, that scene was so cool. I loved that it wasn’t about like the military or government Vs Godzilla it was about real people and ex military after the war fighting to save their country, just felt way more grounded which made it feel more scary.  The soundtrack was awesome too.  As long as I never watch Godzilla Vs kong 2 I think I’ll remain a Godzilla fan from now on.  8.5/10 Also the guy who played Koichi, Ryunosuke Kamiki, voices Taki in your name. Also the director has done some anime stuff and he did the live action parasyte. Pretty cool.
