I wish Paul Rudd was my teacher.
This film was cool, especially after just today having rewatched the 2 Ghostbusters films. It was pretty much exactly what I expected, not a great film, but a cool nostalgia trip, a Ghostbusters film with Paul Rudd, good CGI and one of the stranger things/ it kids. Paul Rudd was Paul Rudd, amazing, and the main girl was kinda likeable. It was a simple story about one of the grandkids of one of the ghostbusters trying to stop the end of the word, it seemed kinda lazy, there wasn’t much to it, it was just kinda cool and there was some, almost too crazy final battle that for some reason just all of a sudden turned into some homage to Ghostbusters. I enjoyed this film, I don’t think it was good, I think it lacked some of the charm of the originals, but it had some likeable characters and it was a fun story. Even tho podcast was the exact kinda character I’d usually really hate, he was really likeable and his friendship with the main girl was nice. Not much else to say, bad film, but it’s Ghostbusters so it was cool. I’d rather watch it 30 more times than watch the female remake once.
By the way there’s after credits to this film which you might wanna watch as it features a character from the originals who isn’t in the actual film. I was sticking around to hear the Ghostbusters song but some people left and missed it, so when the film ends don’t go anywhere!
Spoilers for the film but one line actually made me laugh out loud. When the villain asks Ray if he’s a god and he has to think about it while everyone stares at him. Really nice call back to the first one.
