Quite a funny film, which is good coz funny is in the title and is the whole point of the film. I feel like people never talk about this when they talk about sandlers best roles but I think this is up there.  The film is very long, felt even longer than it was. I feel like it’s mostly due to the fact the film had two protagonist that kinda had their own stuff going on separately. For such a long film I was surprised how quickly it wrapped up. They had their argument and talked like once and then it kinda ended. It didn’t really show a change in the character to make him realise he was in the wrong and I feel like that would have been really easy to do and made it a lot better. Maybe if Seth rogans final stand up was a bit more impactful. I like how it ended for his character but I feel like Adam sandlers character could have had a little more development towards the end. Maybe they realised the film was way too long already so they had to wrap it up quickly.  Lots of really cool cameos. The YO teach bit confused me as I’ve definitely seen that skit they were filming before with bo burnham so I have no idea if it’s real or not as it was part of the films story. The Legend Norm McDonald showed up, one of the funniest men ever, “I heard you recovered from aids” the perfect norm joke. Norm sadly passed away from cancer so seeing him in a film of this subject was surprising but nice.  Seth rogan, jonah hill, Jason Schwartzman and Aubrey plaza were all funny and great. Leslie Mann was also good, though everything with her character ended kinda abruptly and it kinda ruined her whole character for me.  Yeah honestly a good film. My reviews have gotten shorter recently but I actually had quite a bit to say about this one. Maybe because it’s 2 and a half hours. A bit too long but I enjoyed. For the kinda comedy it was it was surprisingly very raw and very real. It was funny because it was about funny people but the subject was serious and engaging the whole way through.  I have never been a big fan of uncut gems and punch drunk love is great but haven’t seen it in a while. This may be up there as one of my favourite sandler movies. Maybe the best. Or second best after grown ups.  7.5/10 Have no life at the moment so got a good streak going on right now. Watched a film a day for 14 days. Highest ever is 19 days. Getting closer. It might be cheating if I just keep watching Adam sandler films but this one is definitely one of the ones that counts.  He actually makes fun of his bad films in this film.
