I’ve never wanted to walk out of the cinema because I was so uncomfortable before but I would have expected nothing less from Tim Robinson.  I was also laughing a lot though, I can’t remember the last time (if ever) that I’ve laughed that much at the cinema. Really funny movie, but I did watch the majority of it through my hat or my hands.  Really great sequel to I love you man, weird decision to not bring back Jason Segel but I like the direction they went with it.  Seriously though the I love you man comparison is really interesting, though this film is ridiculous at times and it’s kinda hard to feel any empathy for the main character, it is quite sad deep down. I love you man is a film about a normal guy who should definitely have friends, make a really cool friend and he gets a happy ending. It has a really interesting core message about the importance of friendship. This is like the situation flipped on its head, with a much more anti social guy who comes off exactly like an average character from I think you should leave, make a friend, it’s incredibly hard to watch and again it’s pretty ridiculous but weirdly theres something deeply sad about it.  I really liked the ending, the joke at the end was something that reminded me of one of Larry David’s curb your enthusiasm punchlines. Something that was set up way earlier on and makes a lot of sense but you would never see it coming because it’s so ridiculous. I also found the ending to be really sad, again not because I felt bad for the character but just the whole situation was so stupid yet awful. The fact he let his whole life fall apart because of this incessant need for friendship. You also kinda feel bad for Paul Rudds character, who doesn’t come off too bad throughout the film and reacts pretty understandably to a lot of the crazy shit that happens.  The start it’s going really well too but u get this really uncomfortable feeling as you can just tell it’s all about to go so wrong.  A good film, again a pretty hard watch but that was expected. 8.0/10 This was my 500th review
