“It is just a film, but not to us”  This was quite a cool film. I know the feeling of loving a film franchise so much that if I was to die tomorrow my final wish would be to see the new film. It’s a cool idea for a film about a series and how much it means to people and how it brings people together. The guys wanted to see the film so bad they became a part of their own. A lot of the jokes didn’t really land, mostly from hutch, who is played by the guy from fantastic beasts and where to find them but plays a very different character. But it was cool. I also feel the ending felt a little weird and cliche, especially the final scene it was a very quick time skip and suddenly they all got what they wanted, feel like they could have taken more time with this and made it feel more satisfying. I also feel like their friend being ill and wanting to see the film before he dies was a very strong premise, but they make like 2 references to him being ill and don’t explain at the end whether he dies or gets better and I feel like this is another thing they could have spent more time with as it would have made the film feel way more emotional and dramatic.  Still a nice film. I liked Kristen Bell and I like that it’s a film about a bunch of geeks and something they truly love, though to everyone else it’s just a movie to them it’s everything and I think that’s a very powerful statement.  6.9/10
