Gonna try keep this spoiler free Came back to London to see this with my dad in the imax, my favourite part was when the Spider-Man no way home trailer played at the start.  This was my 25th favourite Marvel film (marvel not just the mcu), it wasn’t as bad as rotten tomatoes says it is, it was actually pretty good, but I feel like it definitely could have been better. I’ve read the Neil gaiman eternals comic and I loved it, in fact watching this film made me wanna go back to Brighton so i could read it again, because this really isn’t that good in comparison.  My favourite character Makari ( I spelt that wrong but the one with super speed) is a girl who can only talk in sign language. The most powerful eternal Ajack, is the lady from grown ups, where in the comic he’s this big homeless looking man who is kinda intimidating and has a big beard. Also the bratty but kinda cool kid was also made into a girl, I liked him more in the comic also but I don’t hate that decision as it brought an interesting new element to her character. It was really cool on the big screen but I feel like if they just kept it more similar to the source material it could have been one of my favourite mcu films. Please read the comic. It was a decent film but there was kind of too much going on. It’s the second longest mcu film to date and it still couldn’t explain everything properly without having the ending feel squashed in. They had to explain every character and the eternals in general, all while introducing and explaining the celestials who are kinda hard to understand fully, and the deviants. There was way too much going on with the human like deviant who didn’t really do too much, he kinda felt like just an obstacle for them to give the film a little more conflict while they shoved exposition down our throats.  I liked kit Harrington, it took me till the final shot of him to remember he was John snow. I liked the after credits a lot with a certain character showing up. And I liked Kamala kaji- the Bollywood guy. Like I said it was cool, it introduced interesting characters and lots of crazy stuff into the mcu and I’m excited to see how they expand on it. But as a film it wasn’t as good as some of the rest of the mcu.  As I’m writing this I get a notification saying its dropped down to the 40s on rotten tomatoes.. 7.4/10
